Book of the Month: Things Fall Apart

Turning and turning in the widening gyre

The falcon cannot hear the falconer;

Things Fall Apart: the centre cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.

–W. B. Yeats, “The Second Coming”

Fellow Young African Pioneers, in the wake of 234 school girls kidnapped in northern Nigeria, a month ago by the extremist Islamist sect Boko Haram. This month book is my response to the tragic incident as I come short of words to express the shock and dissatisfaction with the response from relevant authorities especially from the Federal Government of Nigeria. I sincerely hope that with the collaborative effort of Nigerian government and the international community, those girls will be rescued safe and sound.
